Terms and conditions

Last updated: 1 November 2026

These terms and conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you ("you", "your") and BeCleva ApS, CVR 46636538, Vejlevej 86, 6000 Kolding, Danmark ("BeClevr", "we", "us", or "our"). The service brand name is BeClevr. Questions: support@becleva.com.

1. Acceptance of terms

You accept these Terms by ticking the box when you create an account, and again when you buy Plus. Without the tick the account cannot be created and Plus cannot be bought. If you do not accept the Terms, you must not use the service.

If there is a conflict between the Danish and English versions, the Danish version prevails for users in Denmark.

2. Service description

BeClevr is a digital budgeting and personal-finance application (web and native app, currently Android). It helps you track income, expenses, savings, subscriptions, receipts, file imports and related overviews. The service may be offered in free and Plus variants. When bank integration is enabled, you may optionally connect your bank via open banking through Subaio as described in section 9. You may also share selected budgets and accounts in a household (section 10). Features may change, expand or be limited over time.

BeClevr is not a bank, payment institution, investment adviser, tax adviser or insurance intermediary. We do not execute payment transactions on your behalf (other than facilitating your Plus subscription via Stripe or MobilePay), and we do not hold or manage your money.

During beta, Plus may temporarily be available without payment. When billing is enabled, the prices in section 6 apply. That does not change these Terms for paid subscriptions.

3. Age and eligibility

You must be at least 18 to create an account and to buy Plus. BeClevr is not intended for anyone under 18.

You represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are entitled to use the service.

4. User accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password, and for all activity under your account. You must not share your login or allow unauthorised access. Household (section 10) is an invitation to shared data — not password sharing.

You may enable two-factor authentication (TOTP) and — in the native app — biometric/device lock. Notify us promptly at support@becleva.com if you suspect unauthorised use. We may require verification before assisting with account access.

5. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the content and data you enter or import (e.g. budgets, expenses, receipt images, notes and file imports such as CSV/Excel/JSON), to the extent permitted by law. Bank data forwarded via Subaio is not owned by BeClevr; we host it solely to provide the service.

You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, display and back up your content solely to provide, maintain and improve the service — including via our processors as described in the privacy policy and, for household, display to members you invite.

You are responsible for having the right to upload, import and process the content you put into BeClevr. We do not claim ownership of your financial data.

6. Payment and subscription (Plus)

Plus is offered as a subscription once payments open. The price is not set yet. The amount is shown in the app before you pay. Cards are paid through Stripe. MobilePay is a separate subscription beside it. We do not store full card numbers.

When billing is enabled, Plus as a starting point includes bank connection and household. Budget, AI, file import, receipts, subscription overview and similar features may be available without payment. The exact free and Plus scope is shown in the app and may change with notice under section 15.

The monthly and yearly plans renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time under Billing, which opens Stripe. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, including during the trial. You keep access until then, and you are not charged again.

Plus starts when payment is completed, or when a trial begins. Within 14 days of the email we send at purchase, you can withdraw and get the amount paid back. Email support@becleva.com with your account email and purchase date, or use the model withdrawal form in section 7. Sending the email before the deadline is enough.

After those 14 days the period already paid is not refunded. Cancellation only stops the next charge. That includes a year paid upfront. We also refund where the law requires it, or where there is a material fault on our side.

We may change prices with reasonable notice (e.g. by email or in the app) before the next renewal. Continuing the subscription after the change takes effect means acceptance of the new price; otherwise you may cancel before renewal.

7. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA/Denmark, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal when buying Plus at a distance, under the Danish Consumer Contracts Act. The period runs from the day you receive the withdrawal information on a durable medium. That is the email we send when Plus starts.

Plus is an ongoing digital service. The right of withdrawal is not lost merely because access is opened. Within the 14 days you can withdraw. The law can require a reasonable amount for the part of the service already supplied. We do not use that right: you get the amount paid back when you write to us within the deadline.

After the 14 days you can still cancel as described in section 6. Cancellation stops the next charge. The period already paid is not refunded.

To withdraw, send a clear statement to support@becleva.com before the deadline. You can use the form below. Sending it before the deadline is enough.

Model withdrawal form (complete and send only if you withdraw)

To BeCleva ApS, Vejlevej 86, 6000 Kolding, Danmark, support@becleva.com:

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the supply of BeClevr Plus.

Ordered on: [date] Name: [your name] Address: [your address] Date: [today's date]

Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory consumer rights.

8. AI features

Certain features (often Plus) may use artificial intelligence via our secure backend — e.g. automatic categorisation of transactions or file imports, receipt scanning (image/OCR), and financial insights or assistant features.

AI processing is assistive. Output is indicative, may contain errors and does not constitute financial, legal or tax advice. We do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects concerning you (GDPR Art. 22). You can generally correct AI-suggested categories manually and should verify amounts and suggestions before making decisions.

For categorisation and similar text features we typically send only what is necessary — e.g. transaction descriptions and amounts — not your full name, email or bank login credentials. For receipt scanning, relevant image or text excerpts may be sent. Processing is carried out by our AI provider (currently OpenAI) and may involve transfers outside the EU/EEA, protected by the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses (SCCs), as described in the privacy policy. Data is used solely to deliver the feature you activated.

9. Bank connection (when enabled)

When bank integration is enabled and you choose to connect a bank, account information is obtained via Subaio ApS, CVR 37766585, Gasværksvej 26B, 1. sal, 9000 Aalborg, Danmark ("Subaio"). Subaio is an authorised account information service provider (AISP) under the supervision of the Danish FSA (Finanstilsynet). BeClevr is not itself a bank, payment institution or AISP and does not execute payment transactions on your accounts.

The explicit PSD2 consent to retrieve bank data is given to Subaio. You choose which accounts to connect and authorise access with your bank (typically via MitID in Denmark or the bank’s own secure login in other supported countries). Subaio then forwards relevant account, balance and transaction data to us — including descriptions, merchant names and logos, categories and recurring-expense information when Subaio provides them — so we can show overviews, budgets, subscriptions and related features. We have read-only access and cannot move money, initiate payments or change anything on your accounts. BeClevr does not ask for a bank PIN.

Subaio is an independent controller for the PSD2 processing you consent to with them. BeClevr is the controller for the bank data we then host on your account. By connecting, you also accept Subaio’s terms for the service and their PSD2 privacy policy: https://subaio.com/psd2-privacy-policy/ (English) and https://subaio.com/psd2-privacy-policy-da/ (Danish). Questions about Subaio’s processing: dpo@subaio.com.

We do not store your bank login credentials, MitID codes or bank passwords. Technical tokens for synchronisation are handled via Subaio and our secure backend.

You may only connect payment accounts you are entitled to access. If you connect a joint account, the data may include information about other persons; you are responsible for ensuring that use is lawful and fair towards them.

The bank connection typically must be renewed about every 180 days (or more often if your bank requires it). You can revoke access in the app settings (where supported), via Subaio or with your bank. Disconnecting and deleting your BeClevr account causes us to ask Subaio to delete your user with them.

By connecting a bank you agree that the fetched transactions and categories stay on your BeClevr account after you disconnect the bank. Disconnecting only stops new fetches. The history is not deleted on its own. To have it deleted you must ask: delete the account in Settings, or email support@becleva.com. Already synchronised data is otherwise handled under the privacy policy.

The feature may be limited to certain countries, banks or Plus. Bank data, categories and insights may be incomplete. We are not liable for the bank’s or Subaio’s errors, downtime, incomplete data or refused connections, except to the extent mandatory law requires otherwise.

10. Household

When household is enabled, you may create or join a household and share budgets and bank accounts with other BeClevr users you invite. Your own bank accounts are shared by default. Uncheck any account that should stay private. You may only invite people who are entitled to see the shared data. Members can view shared accounts and postings and recategorise them. The bank connection itself is synced only by the account owner and is not shared as a login.

You are responsible for whom you invite and for removing access when it should no longer apply. Household may require Plus.

11. Usage restrictions

You must not: (a) use the service for illegal purposes; (b) attempt to hack, bypass security or unreasonably burden the service; (c) copy, reverse-engineer or resell the service except where mandatory law allows; (d) spam or send malicious content; (e) misuse AI or import features to process others' data without a lawful basis; (f) connect another person’s payment accounts without authority; (g) create accounts in an automated or large-scale way without our written permission.

12. Intellectual property

All content on BeClevr, including design, logos, trademarks and software (excluding your own user content), is protected by copyright and belongs to BeClevr or its licensors. You must not copy, modify or distribute it without permission, except where mandatory law gives you that right.

13. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

BeClevr is a budgeting and planning tool and does not constitute financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Content, calculations and any AI suggestions are for informational purposes only. Nothing in the service should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell or dispose of securities, loans, insurance or other financial products.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant completeness, timeliness or accuracy of data or calculations, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or fully secure operation. You use the service at your own risk and should verify important figures and decisions yourself and seek professional advice where appropriate.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, consequential damage, lost profits, data loss or loss arising from reliance on calculations or AI output. Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or in connection with the service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for Plus in that period (or DKK 500 if you have not paid).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury or other matters that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited towards consumers. Your mandatory rights under Danish and EU consumer law remain unchanged.

14. Termination and suspension

You may delete your account at any time in settings and cancel Plus as described in section 6.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach the Terms, abuse the service, create a security risk, or if we are required to do so by law. On termination your access to content may end, subject to your rights to data export and deletion under the privacy policy and the GDPR.

15. Changes to the terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes that affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you by email and/or in the application at least 30 days before they take effect, unless faster effect is required by law or security.

If you do not accept material changes, you may cancel the subscription and/or delete your account before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance of the updated Terms, subject to mandatory consumer rights. The "Last updated" date changes when the Terms are revised.

16. Force majeure

Events beyond our reasonable control — including natural disasters, strikes, power outages, major cyberattacks, regulatory orders or failure of critical subcontractors (e.g. bank, Subaio, Stripe or hosting) — may cause delays or temporary limitations. We will endeavour to mitigate effects and resume normal operation. This does not limit your rights under mandatory consumer law in case of material or prolonged non-performance.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Danish law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would lead to another country's law.

If you experience problems, contact us first at support@becleva.com.

If you are a consumer, you may bring complaints via Nævnenes Hus (www.naevneneshus.dk). You may complain to the Danish Consumer Ombudsman about unfair terms or marketing (www.forbrugerombudsmanden.dk). Privacy complaints: Datatilsynet (www.datatilsynet.dk). You may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence to the extent mandatory consumer law gives you that right.

If you are a business user, disputes shall be resolved by the Danish courts with venue at our home court, unless otherwise mandatorily required.

18. Personal data

Processing of personal data is described in our privacy policy, which fulfils our GDPR information obligations. The privacy policy is available on the same website/app as these Terms.
