Security
Your money. Your information. Your control.
To give you an up-to-date overview of your finances, BeClevr needs to be able to read your accounts and postings. We can never move your money or make payments. Here you can see which information we use, how we protect it, and how you stay in control of your data.

The important part
Three things before you connect a bank
These are the questions most people ask first.

01Secure login
Your login details stay private
You sign in directly at your own bank with MitID or the bank's login. BeClevr never gets access to your login details.

02Read only
We can see your numbers – not touch your money
BeClevr can only see the accounts and transactions you give access to. We cannot transfer money, pay bills or change anything on your accounts.

03Your privacy
Your information is yours
We use your information to give you an overview of your finances and help you get more out of your money. We never sell your information to banks, advertisers or other third parties.
What comes along
What is stored, and what is not
The privacy policy has the full list. This is what the app needs so you can see your overview.
We receive
We at BeClevr do not go in and read your accounts, postings or budgets.
- The bank’s name, account name, account number and balance for the accounts you choose
- Postings with date, amount, text and who the money went to or came from
- Receipts you photograph or add yourself
- Budgets, goals, notes and rules you create
- In a household, only the budgets and accounts you tick yourself
We never receive
- Your bank code, MitID or a PIN for the bank
- A way to move money or change anything on the account
- Accounts you have not approved yourself
- Your name or email when something is sent to AI
- Someone else’s login just because you share a household
When you connect a bank
How the numbers get from the bank to the overview
Subaio is the one that fetches the information from the bank. They are authorised to do that. BeClevr is not a bank, and we do not have that access ourselves.
01
You pick a bank and say yes
You are sent to the bank’s own login page. There you choose which accounts we may read, and you confirm with MitID.
02
Subaio fetches only what you said yes to
The bank passes the account information on through the connection the law requires. Not other accounts.
03
You see them in BeClevr
We use the account name, balance and postings for the overview, categories and history. You can disconnect the bank again whenever you want.
If you withdraw consent at the bank, or disconnect the bank in BeClevr, we stop fetching new postings. What is already with us stays until you delete it.
If you want the detail
Where it is stored, and how it is locked
The same things are in the privacy policy and on the subprocessors list, just in more formal language.
- Where the numbers are
- What we store about your account, budget and bank is in the EU at Supabase. The website itself runs at Vercel.
- On the way
- The connection between you and us is encrypted. In the database you can only read your own things.
- Your login with us
- We do not store the password the way you type it. You can also sign in with Google or Apple and turn on two-factor or a passkey.
- Who can look
- Access for running the service stays on the server, not in the app. It is used to keep the service going, not to look through budgets.
- Errors
- We only send error reports if you have agreed to statistics. They are usually deleted within about 90 days.
- AI
- When you use AI yourself, we send what that feature needs. That is typically the text and amount on a posting, not your name, email or bank login. You can always change the suggestion.
- Statistics
- Visit counts and speed on the website are measured only if you say yes. We do not record the path you click through.
- Deletion
- The account closes straight away. We expect to finish deleting in the systems we run ourselves within 30 days.

If you want to stop
You can do it yourself
As long as you can sign in, you do not need to email us.
Turn it off
You change statistics on the website from the cookie policy. You turn a reminder off on the payment under Recurring payments. If you disconnect the bank under Settings → Connections, we stop fetching new postings.
Download a copy
Go to Settings → Data & privacy and press Export data. You get a file of what is on the account.
Delete the account
Go to Settings → Danger zone and type DELETE. If you cannot sign in, you can ask us to delete it from the delete-data page.
When you delete
What happens to your data
Straight away
You are signed out, and we stop fetching new postings from the bank.
Within 30 days
Budget, receipts, postings and settings are deleted in the systems we run ourselves. We also ask Subaio to delete you on their side.
What can stay longer
Error reports can stay for up to about 90 days if you agreed to statistics. The law can require us to keep records of our own payments for up to five years. Your bank postings are not that kind of record.
Who helps
The companies that help us
They are not allowed to sell your numbers.
In the EU
This is where your account, your sign-in and what you have saved live.
Supabase looks after the database and sign-in. Cookiebot remembers your cookie choice on the website.
The bank
We do not run the fetch from the bank ourselves.
Subaio fetches the account information after you have said yes at the bank. They are responsible for that part.
Outside the EU
Some suppliers can also process data outside the EU. Then we use the contracts the rules require.
Vercel shows the website. OpenAI is used when you open an AI feature yourself. Sentry receives error reports if you say yes. Stripe or MobilePay is used if you pay for Plus.
Questions
What people ask
This is the short version, so you can decide without reading the whole privacy policy. The formal text still applies. If you disagree with how we handle your information, you can complain to Datatilsynet. You are welcome to write to us first.
