Delete data

Last updated: 25 October 2026

You can delete the account yourself when you are signed in. If you cannot get in, email us from the address the account was created with. Deletion cannot be undone once it is complete.

1. Delete the account in the app

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Danger zone.
  3. Choose Delete account, and type DELETE to confirm.

The account closes and you are signed out. We delete budgets, expenses, receipts, imports, bank connections, postings, household and settings in the active systems. The aim is within 30 days. A short-lived backup can still hold residues until it expires on its own.

2. Download a copy first

Under Settings → Data & privacy you can export your data before you delete. Once deletion has run, we cannot send the copy again.

3. Bank and payment

Disconnecting the bank stops new fetches. The history stays until you delete the account or ask us to delete it. On account deletion we also ask Subaio to delete the user on their side, so access to the bank ends at the account information service.

A Plus subscription is cancelled as far as we can, at Stripe or MobilePay. Cancellation there can have its own deadline. Your bank postings are not kept as accounting records. We may have to keep records of our own payments for up to five years under the Bookkeeping Act.

4. What can remain a little longer

  • Error reports at Sentry: typically up to about 90 days, and only if you said yes to statistics.
  • Web statistics at Vercel: typically 30–90 days, only with consent.
  • The push token on the phone is deleted on sign-out and on account deletion.
